Chris peacefully passed away this morning at 4:22 am.  I laid next to him as he struggled to breath.  Finally taking his last breath.  He is in a better place.  I can see him running, jumping, doing magic tricks, laughing and singing.
For those of you worried about Megan.  I have emailed the mission president.  Not sure how this will be handled.  They are 7 hours ahead of us.

Our hearts are with you and your family, Ricky. It's a bittersweet thing to hear Chris has passed, but comforting to know his pain is over and that he's in the loving arms of his father in heaven now. We will keep you in our prayers.

Although Chris's passing was excepted, I was still shocked, and my heart is with you and the kids in West Jordan and Megan in Portugal. I have always felt that a person passing on the Sabbath day is an extra-special event. Chris at 4:22 a.m. today and Pam at 3:56 a.m. on the Sabbath, May 16, 1993. Hugs and Love to all of you. We will be at the funeral. xoxoxoxoxo

Chris will be deeply missed by all but not forgotten. He shared and showed us all how to be and live like the savior did.

I worked with Chris and since his departure I've checked in on this blog from time to time to see how he was doing. As the years went on I was very happy to see that he was living his life and enjoying his children. I even spotted him in the neighborhood last year when my dog went missing and wound up at the Boy Scouts breakfast that he was serving at. I just wanted to let his family and kids know that he was an awesome guy to work with and was always a very thoughtful and positive person. I am very sad to hear abou this passing and I my thoughts are with his wife, children and the rest of his family.

I'm very sorry to hear about the loss of a great person. Chris was one of the best people that I have every meant. He was so energetic and full of life, inspiring everyone he met in many ways. I hope he knows how he influenced my life for the short time I was able to know him. Chris was a inspirational leader even when he didn't want to be. Chris you will greatly missed and that shows how you much of an impact you made while here. I'm honored to have known you.

Too too Ricci and the rest of the Wach family, if there is anything I can do for you, please ask.

My deepest sympathies,
Richard Smith

Hugs and prayers Ricki! I am grateful for the opportunity to know Chris and have him positively affect my life.
I am so relieved he is out of pain now even though that means we will not have him in our lives for a bit.

Chris was my direct supervisor for many years and on several different occasions. Thanks for being there for me Chris, when my friend passed away and how much time you spent with me making sure I was ok and all the talks about life we had. You will forever be in my thoughts and memories for helping mold me in a small, yet important way on how to treat others with respect and dignity. I will always value your friendship you shared with me and all the stories of hawaii, the Utah Jazz and all the other stories we shared. We know you are in a better place and for that we are all truly thankful because you deserve not to suffer. Prayers to your family and friends and may God bless you all in this difficult time.

My heart is saddened by your loss Ricky. Ever since I heard about this blog I have been a very loyal reader due to how much respect and love I had for Chris. He has been deeply missed at Verizon the past 3 years. I'm happy to say that he was of great influence why I decided to become a leader in this great company. The way he handled himself, his interactions with his employees and his genuine desire to let you know he cared and that he was there for you when you needed him. The physical world lost a wonderful man, but the spiritual world received a lively and amazing person. God bless you and your family in this time of need.
