Thanks for "wach"ing with us

Friday January 23rd was the first day that Chris couldn't work. He was extremely sick. All week he wasn't able to hold down food. We went to his appointment on Monday the 26th to get radiation and chemo. He had radiation and then we met with Dr. Sause he said that Chris had lost to much weight this week (10 lbs). Dr. Sause and Dr. Whiznant (chemo doctor) talked with each other and decided that it was best for Chris to not do anymore chemo (we had 2 left) and to stop the radiation, they felt that he would probably be ok. After Chris' appointment he headed home and slept. He feels awful. It is hard for him to sleep because his stomach hurts so bad from the radiation. So now we wait until February 26th at which time we will meet with both doctors to decide what tests to order and if the whipple procedure is something to consider. They want to give Chris' body time to heal before opening him up (if that's what is decided). I want to thank all of you for your support. We love all of you so much. Words cannot express how much each of you mean to our family. This is a long road that we have to travel and I am grateful to all of you for being their to "wach" it with us. I am sorry that I am not good at writing to each of you to thank you for what you've done for my family but I just cry. I hope that someday I can stop crying. I love Chris very much and am so sad to know that we will not be growing old together or serving a mission to Nauvoo - I was going to make cookies in the bakery and he was going to make nailrings in the blacksmith shop. But on the upside I am grateful to know that life doesn't end and that I will be with him again someday. We probably will not update this blog to much until Feb. 26th because Chris should be getting stronger. We love you all. Ricki
